My nose had been operated on twice by another physician who took out too much cartilage and did not correct my deviated septum. Over the course of 10 years my nose was collapsing visibly, and I could not breathe. Dr. Bafitis took a piece of my ear and a rib graft to rebuild the damage that had been done. Expect some swelling and bruising in the first few days after rhinoplasty. Keeping your head elevated and applying cold compresses can help reduce these effects and support healing.
Most patients feel comfortable resuming light activities within 7-10 days. Strenuous activities should be avoided until Dr. Bafitis advises it’s safe.
You’ll start to see improvements as swelling subsides, but full results may take several months to develop, revealing a balanced, refined nose shape.
